Nel decimo anniversario di MIA Fair, in programma nella nuova sede di SUPERSTUDIO MAXI (Via Moncucco 35) a Milano, da giovedì 7 a domenica 10 ottobre 2021, sarà il fotografo britannico Rankin, a dare un “volto” alla prima fiera italiana dedicata alla fotografia d’arte.
Lo spostamento della manifestazione al prossimo autunno, dopo l’annullamento dell’edizione del 2020, è motivata dall’ esigenza di garantire ai visitatori e agli espositori la massima sicurezza, in riferimento alle previsioni delle nuove difese contro la diffusione della pandemia e al conseguimento della campagna di vaccinazione globale. Lo spostamento in autunno potrà anche essere l’occasione di cogliere le previste opportunità di ripresa economica.
La nuova sede di SUPERSTUDIO MAXI, con una dimensione di 7.400 m², faciliterà il distanziamento sociale previsto dalle norme anti-Covid19 e offrirà l’opportunità di ampliare ulteriormente i campi disciplinari di MIA Fair. A seguito del successo dell’esperienza di MIA&D Singapore, tenuta nel 2014 a Marina Bay Sands a Singapore, dove, per la prima volta al mondo, una fiera d’arte ha proposto un dialogo tra fotografia e design, quest’anno MIA Fair presenterà per la prima volta a Milano una sezione dedicata all’art design, al modernariato d’autore e agli oggetti d’arte a diretto confronto con la fotografia fine art, mettendo in evidenza la sintonia tra questi linguaggi e la loro trasversatilità.
Fino al 15 maggio 2021 resteranno aperte le iscrizioni per partecipare a MIA Fair per le gallerie che potranno presentare domanda per la Main Section e la nuova Sezione MIA&D – Fotografia & Design. I progetti saranno vagliati dal Comitato di Selezione.

The British photographer Rankin chosen for the new visual campaign of the Italian art fair dedicated to photography,directed by Fabio Castelli and Lorenza Castelliwith the support of the Main Sponsor BNL GruppoBNP Paribas and the Sponsor Eberhard & Co.
For the 10th anniversary of MIA Fair, scheduled at the brand new venue of SUPERSTUDIO MAXI (Via Moncucco 35) in Milan from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th October 2021, iconic images of the British photographer Rankin will mark and enforce with their powerful energy the visual identityof the first Italian fair dedicated to fine-art photography.
The decision to move MIA Fair to Autumn 2021, after the forced cancellation of the 2020 edition, is explained by the need to ensure the best safety conditions possible for visitors and exhibitors, considering the global vaccination campaign trend, and by the opportunity to seize the effects of the expected economic rebound.
The new venue of SUPERSTUDIO MAXI, with its size of 7.400 sq.mt. will make easier to comply with social distancing rules within the anti-Covid19 regulations and will offer the opportunity to further expand the disciplinary fields of MIA Fair. Following the success of the experience of MIA&D Singapore, held in 2014 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, where, for the first time in the world, an art fair presented a dialogue between photography and design, this year MIA Fair will showcase for the first time in Milan a section devoted to historical, modern and contemporary art design in conjunction with fine art photography works, highlighting the harmony between these contemporary art languages.
Until next May 15, 2021 Galleries are welcomed to apply to participate to the Main Section and the new MIA& D – Photography & Design Section. The projects will be examined by the Selection Committee.
